This is a shout out to all the veterans who have sacrificed so much to give us the liberties we enjoy today. Thank you! I want to especially mention a man named Jim who I recently met at a lecture on the subject of the D-Day invasion. He was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and just one of the nicest people I have ever met. He endured brutal conditions and was also held captive by the Germans, yet he still has a positive disposition and is willing to talk about it. I also would like to mention a special friend who I have come to admire for her commitment to our country as well. Beverly Rosenstein is a veteran of the Women’s Army Corp and a frequent participant at history lectures I attend . She is so kind and knowledgeable on many aspects of history. Both her and Jim are examples of people we should all admire for their service to this country. We sometimes take for granted how we got to where we are today and the freedoms we enjoy, but I for one, will be forever grateful to the Jim’s and Beverly’s of our Armed Forces. Although they deserve more recognition than one day a year, there are those of us out there who think about their sacrifices every day. Thank you to all veterans!!!!!!
