I know this is supposed to be a column on sports. Something that brings a temporary reprive from the reality of the world we live in, which…. let’s face it…. is difficult. And the games will go on, but we need to take a moment and reflect on the unimaginable tragedy that occurred on 5-24-22 in Uvalde, TX. That is the difficult part of life that we must endure and put sportsĀ into perspective. It’s not that important. As a parent, grandparent, uncle and friend of other people with children, what took place at the school in Texas just tears at the core of your heart. How could something like this happen? So many young, beautiful kids and their heroic teachers that were supposed to be our next generation of doctors, scholars and where ever their destiny was going to take them. Taken from us. It is really impossible to think of the heartbreak the families will have to endure forever. But this weeks column is short and too the point….. Sports with Mono and Mono sends our thoughts and prayers to the families of the innocent victims of that day. And I know our listeners feel the same. Enough said. Rest in peace kids.
